Interactive controls should be reachable and understandable without a mouse.
Designed to be clear and usable.
Anglian Software aims to make this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of device, browser, input method or access need.
Accessibility is part of the build, not a final coat of paint.
We work towards clear content, sensible structure, usable keyboard navigation, readable contrast, responsive layouts and alternatives for non-text content.
This site is a work in progress. New pages and components will be checked as they are added.
What we consider.
These are the practical checks we apply during development.
Headings, spacing, contrast and line lengths should support comfortable reading.
Pages should remain useful across phone, tablet and desktop layouts.
Animation should be restrained and respect reduced-motion preferences.
Meaningful images and controls should have useful labels or alternative text.
Content should be direct, plain and easy to scan.
